The President said this on Tuesday in a letter sent to the National Assembly, seeking that the funds be drawn from the 2018 and 2019 budgets. In the letter he explained that implementing a budget of 9.12 trillion Naira for 2018 will be extremely challenging and does not consider it expedient, to increase it to accommodate the funds needed for the 2019 general elections. He had earlier criticised the National Assembly for reducing allocations for some projects and including thousands of projects into the budget without consultation with the Executive. According to him, the National Assembly made cuts amounting to N347 billion in the allocations to 4,700 projects submitted to them for consideration and introduced 6,403 projects of their own amounting to N578 billion. “Many of the projects cut are critical an

📰India's 🇮🇳 Top Court Demands 💪 New Law to Stop Lynching❗ India's highest court has asked the government to enact a new law to deal with an increase in mob violence and lynchings that have reportedly killed more than two dozen of people in the country this year. The Supreme Court in the capital, New Delhi, on Tuesday, recommended that Parliament create a new penal provision to punish the offenders and stem the mob-related violence. "Horrendous acts of mobocracy cannot be allowed to become a new norm," a three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, said. "It has to be curbed with an iron hand." "No citizen can take law into his hands or become a law onto himself," the court ruled. The top court was hearing a number of petitions seeking direction on checking mob violence by Hindu cow-protection vigilantes targeting Muslims over suspicions of beef consumption and cattle slaughter Reply to this message with a 👍 to like it

On the field, the club saw plenty of success in La Liga, reclaiming the title in 2017-18 after a disappointing year prior had seen them cede the crown to rivals Real Madrid. The campaign nearly saw Barca run through the La Liga season undefeated, though a loss to Levante in the penultimate game of the season denied them that honor. However, they still set records on the field, having maintained the longest undefeated start to a season in La Liga history. And now, the club are setting records off the field as well. Barcelona's income figures resulted in an operating profit of €32m and a net profit of €13m. Reply to this message with a 👍 to like to it

📰 Kenyans Watch World Cup On Phone As Internet Costs Hit All-Time Low* Internet costs have hit an all-time low in Kenya as telecoms fight for the fast-growing market, enabling Kenyans to stream live the World Cup and other TV programs on their phones. The rates have been falling for the last months as data become the new battleground among service providers in the East African nation, including Telkom, Safaricom, Airtel, Jamii Telkom and Zuku, among others. While the first three have focused on mobile internet which accounts for 99 percent of subscribers, the latter are fighting it out in the broadband market. Kenyans are currently paying as low as 1 U.S. dollar for 2 giga byte (GB) of data, down from over 10 dollars. And for broadband, the telecoms are offering 10 dollars for unlimited internet. 📰 Indonesia mob slaughters nearly 300 crocodiles in revenge killing A mob of villagers has killed nearly 300 crocodiles at a sanctuary for the animals in the Indonesian province of West Papua. The slaughter was in retaliation for a local man thought to have been killed by one animal from the site. Officials and police said they were not able to stop the attack and may now press charges. The killing of a protected species is a crime that carries a fine or imprisonment in Indonesia. The local villager was killed on Friday morning while gathering vegetables on the crocodile farm's breeding sanctuary. "An employee heard someone screaming for help, quickly went there and saw a crocodile attacking someone," the head of Indonesia's Natural Resources Conservation Agency in West Papua said. After the funeral on Saturday, several hundred angry locals went to the sanctuary, armed with knives, shovels, hammers and clubs. Local media cited officials saying the mob first att

👱🏼Trump Tells 🇷🇺Putin at Helsinki Summit🔊: 'I Really Think the 🌐World Wants to See Us Get Along' 📹 : President Donald Trump had a private one-on-one meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, saying he hoped the two men could have an “extraordinary relationship”. The two leaders are in Helsinki for long-awaited talks aimed at kick-starting new bilateral relations, despite claims by US authorities that Russian intelligence officers hacked Mr Trump’s opponent in the 2016 election. “We are two countries that frankly have not been getting along very well for the last number of years,” Mr Trump told a stony-faced Mr Putin. “But I think we will end up having an extraordinary relationship.” After the meeting, Mr Trump and Mr Putin held an expanded bilateral discussion with their aides. While Mr Trump said the two men would discuss “everything” in their meetings, he notably did not mention the subject of Russian hacking of the US election. Earlier, Mr

Instagram users believes new question feature is anonymous

Image
📰 Instagram users mistakenly believe new question feature is anonymous* Instagram’s constant kamikaze launch of new features, in which they desperately try to hold on to their sizeable but fickle user-base by throwing new story modes and face filters at them, installed an interesting new question and answer function this week. The feature is similar to sites like Ask.fm and the now-defunct Formspring, where users could ask anonymous questions of each other, with the answers made public. Some people used these sites to secretly tell someone they had a crush on them, or ask something they’d be too frightened to say in public, but they also became hotbeds of high school bullying and were blamed for a spate of suicides. The big difference with Instagram’s version of the feature, is that the questions aren’t anonymous, you can see which of your followers asked it – although this isn’t made explicit. In fact Instagram confuses users by telling them that if their question is shared,

With these recent departures, sources say that Apple’s Indian sales team is now undergoing a “restructuring.” These aren’t the first executives to leave Apple’s India team. Back in December, the head of Apple’s India operations departed the company and was replaced by Michel Coulomb, who is said to be struggling in the role. He completed his hat-trick in the 17th minute, lashing home from the penalty spot after Reiss Nelson had been hauled down in the area. Aubameyang turned provider for strike partner Alexandre Lacazette in the 40th minute, the Frenchman coolly slotting past goalkeeper Craig Ross after a swift counter-attack. Mbappe and Pogba sets World cup Final Records

📰 Mbappe & Pogba🌟 Set World Cup Final Records🔥* Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba both set records on Sunday during a goal-packed World Cup final between France and Croatia. Pogba and Mbappe were on target in quick succession with fine long-range efforts past Daniel Subasic, and in doing so each player made their little bit of history. Mbappe, 19, became the first teenager since Pele to score in a World Cup final with his strike. Pele was just 17 when he scored twice for Brazil in the 1958 decider against Sweden, as the Selecao took a 5-2 victory. Pogba, too, set a historic first for his employers, Manchester United. Never before had a United player scored in a World Cup final prior to Pogba's crisp effort in the second half to extend the lead against Croatia. Reply to this message with a 👍 to like it

In the video, which has been widely shared on social media, a woman is walking down a dirt track, holding a child by the hand. A man in military clothing and aviator sunglasses, with a rifle swinging from his shoulder, is holding her by the neck. As they walk, he periodically slaps her face. Huge Iceberg threatens Greenland village

Image
📰 Huge iceberg threatens Greenland village* A huge iceberg has drifted close to a village in western Greenland, prompting a partial evacuation in case it splits and the resulting wave swamps homes. The iceberg is looming over houses on a promontory in the Innaarsuit village but is grounded and did not move overnight, local media say. Local officials say they have never seen such a big iceberg before. Last summer, four people died after waves swamped houses in northwestern Greenland after an earthquake. Those ofInaarsuit's 169 residents living nearest the iceberg have been moved, Danish news agency Ritzau said. "There are cracks and holes that make us fear it can calve anytime," village council member Susanne Eliassen told the local newspaper Sermitsiaq. The village's power station and fuel tanks are close to the shore, she said. Some experts have warned that extreme iceberg events risk becoming more frequent because of climate change. Trump snubs GB queen

Image
🇬🇧Queen👑 Snubbed by👱🏼Trump ❔📹 Shocking news: Donald Trump has been accused of snubbing the Queen twice during their meeting today. First, he ‘kept the 92-year-old monarch waiting’ before turning up for tea at Windsor Castle. The Queen was pictured standing up and checking her watch in anticipation until he arrived right on the dot. After he did show up, photos show how he walked off in front of her as they inspected the guard, appearing ‘oblivious’ to her. People were not very happy about it… Say what you like about politics, but nobody puts Her Majesty in the corner. 'Very few people are this oblivious to the Actual Queen,’ Janine Gibson wrote. Others agreed with her, accusing the president of showing a lack of class and awareness — or worse, ‘being really insulting on purpose’. Simon Ricketts had an alternative take, however, saying the Queen prompted him forward ‘like she was training one of her dogs as Trump struggled to master the act of walking’.

Neymar, who scored twice at the World Cup in Russia, was already believed to be in the club's sights prior to Ronaldo's shock decision to pursue a new opportunity. Once again, the Spainish giants have moved to put an end to speculation by claiming they have not held discussions with the former Barcelona man over a potential return to La Liga. "Given the constant information linking the PSG player Neymar with our club, Real Madrid CF wants to clarify that it has no plans to make any offers for the player," a club statement read.
